Sarah Nelson- BID Manager
I have been in the post of Mansfield BID Manager since July 2011. My career began by gaining a BSc in Criminology and Psychology and a MA in Criminology and Social Policy. These lead to a variety of previous roles including drugs counselling through to a qualified crime prevention officer and working with the Derby Business Improvement District. Though within the past few years Mansfield has faced some great challenges with threats to the high street and town centre businesses, I and the team continue to stay positive and develop new schemes and ideas for Mansfield. We have already seen progress with improvement in our retail ranking and we hope to continue this success. It is really important though that our businesses continue to engage with us to help us move forward.

Sue Rogers- BID Co-ordinator
I have been at the BID since the very start and really enjoy my role as the team coordinator. Before this I worked at the Chad for 7 years and prior to that the Nottingham Evening Post. The experience and expertise I picked up from these roles has allowed me to develop strong ideas and skills at running the many events and marketing promotions for the town and businesses. One of my main roles is updating the Town Centre website and social network site and I always look forward to hearing from all our businesses with new events and promotions for their business that I can let all our visitors to the town know about.
In my spare time I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and two teenage sons.

Dave Wilson- BID Business Crime Co-Ordinator
I retired from Nottinghamshire Police in July 2006 as a Superintendent. Two significant postings during my service were at Scotland Yard writing tactical options for police to deal with riots and in particular the CID and evidence gathering role. This also included the development of a new Training Course for senior officers to manage police officers during riots which was delievered to all ranks up to and including Chief Constable. In 2005 I was responsible for creating 4 new Homicide Units specifically designed to deal with Serious Crime within the County and particularly gun crime and large scale drug dealers and money laundering.
I then worked with Mansfield Town Centre Partnership creating the Business Crime Partnership (MSBP). Mansfield Safer Business Partnership renamed Mansfield BID Business Crime Partnership is a partnership between the police Mansfield District Council Community Safety Partnership and local businesses and is now integrated into the BID structure. The business crime partnership has experienced great success with members from all areas of the town working together to make Mansfield Safer and is now seen as best practice across the Country. Crime in Mansfield is now at its lowest recorded level for over 25 years with as little as 10 crimes per week. Trained in Management of Disaster and Civil Emergency and an accredited Crime Prevention Officer are just some of the skills I have been able to utilise.
I have worked in Mansfield Town Centre for the past 13 years in a variety of security positions including Woolworth’s, B&Q, M&S and the Four Seasons Shopping Centre. Before this I worked as a doorman in the town so have always held my SIA badge and have a vast expanse of dealing with security issues and confrontations. I have now been with Mansfield BID since 2011 and really enjoy working with the businesses and the other partners
I have been married for 27 years and have 4 children. In my spare time I enjoy fishing, playing darts and looking after my allotment.

Prior to this, I have also worked as a Prison Officer; spent over 7 years within the retail environment and also had a period of time in the Pub Trade where I worked as an Assistant Manager for Mansfield Brewery.
